Nick Adenhart a 22 year old Los Angeles Angels pitcher is dead. He was killed in a road accident early Thursday morning after he had pitched six shutout innings against the Oakland A's:
The officer just said the driver of the van, Andrew Gallo had caused a deadly accident and also has an arrest past of DUI and at the time of the crash they say they believe he was driving on a suspended license because of a prior drunk driving assurance.
They also say at the time of the crash the driver was under the influence. Law enforcement says he will be booked on felony hit and run, felony DUI, vehicular assassination and possibly murder.
The game tonight with the Angels has been canceled. The Fullerton PD and the Angels association are about to address the media at Angels Stadium in Anaheim -- after the team's 22-year old pitcher, Nick Adenhart, and two others died tragically in a car accident this morning.
